“As a man thinketh in his heart so is he”. I know you might have heard this many time. If the world throw lemons to you make lemonades out of it. You might not determine your life startup capital; you know what I mean, the family you came from, your country, skin colour, etc. But you can definitely do something with your life. What you need is a God given vision for your life with a burning pursuit.

Really I am making a case for the depressed, confused and dejected. I was surprised when I read in the book of Isaiah that the barren should sing...hmm it continues by saying the children of the desolate(barren) are even more than the married ones..hmm. Potential!!!!!...hmmm

You will be surprised that some even attempted suicide out of frustration. You said whao...It is real, people do it..Yours truly has once habour the thought before. You will say, really! What you need to do is to change your thought pattern . That is the first thing if God will help.

I always tell people that there is no problem God cannot handle. Just commit it to him. He will handle it .The only difference is that the way He will handle it is not the way you think. Remember his ways are not our ways.

The same problem that is a big deal for some is a motivating factor and stepping stone for another . Life...really if you think you are beset with one challenge or the other, walk down your street and you will think different. I read Mensah Otabil’s parable of the dot , I said “what an insight”. Kenneth hagin of blessed memory once said that the same thing happens to everybody, the only difference is the way we individually handle it. Take up your bed and walk. No more story, excuse..We are surrounded by a great cloud of witness of people that have gone a head of us. Even Jesus was tempted as we are yet without sin. Weep no more, cry no more. Sit down. Walk straight. If God gives me just 1 minute to address the whole wide world I know what to tell them.

Life without a challenge is an illusion it doesn’t exist. We are victorious. Yes we are. But it doesn’t throw away the fight of faith, contention for the faith, the violent take it by force,put on the whole armour of God,we wrestle not against flesh and blood.

In all these things......we are more than conqueror through Christ that love us . We won’t sit down and die here.Maximise your God given potential.

Work Can Reduce Crime

Indeed the crime rate in the country could be grossly reduced if there is provision of work for young school leavers. Another shift to the norm is if the individual considers entrepreneurship. That is why entrepreneurship should be encouraged in the school curriculum. You’ve heard it before. “An idle hand is the devil’s workshop” Really funny, the devil has a workshop for the lazy ones to grill evil.

Instead of spending much on sophisticated equipment to track down crime (though okay after all) the wealth of the mind can be explored and more youths and school leavers empowered to create a vibrant economy. The Asian tigers I believe embraced the tool call work, that is why they are developing fast day by day in all fields of human endeavour.

Work really makes you healthy and a responsible citizen.

6 Interact with the choristers-go beyond music to know how they are

faring in other aspect of their lives.

7 Give room for break. This time , let them relax

8 Rehearsal should be intense . don’t give room for laziness

9 Atimes choristers could be quite playful. No room for unnecessary

gisting.

10 Eating during rehearsal should be discouraged. Though long

rehearsals like night rehearsals , snacks could be served.

11 When choristers seemed stressed up and tired. I think it is best to quit

rehearlsing

Starting a new choir

There is no specific rule in achieving this. We will discuss in general terms guidelines to make this happen. Long time ago I watch a movie –fighting temptation. I wasn't surprised by what I saw. Having being in the church choir setting before, I know it is really true the story displayed in the film.

The person to choose the new choristers should be advisably be the choir director himself, knowing fully well he will be in charge.

1 Know what you want. Have the end in view, i.e. in your mind’s eye. How do view your choir. Any standard? Regardless of the human resources or material resources available this is highly important. A lot of head ache could be avoided in the choir if this is well considered.

2 Recruit the best hands. In some cases where you don’t have exceptional singers or instrumentalist around, look for people with interest in music. This is highly important. Some leaders make the mistake of recruiting choristers on spirituality alone. Spirituality alone is okay don’t get me wrong but it should not be the only basis for recruitment. So I simply say, look inwards. You don’t need to get outside your church settings to get singers. Look for interests among your church members. Look for potentials; people that are ready to learn. Some others make the mistake of forcing people to join the choir and they wondered why the individuals are not doing well.

Serving God should be free willing if ever it is going o be acceptable by Him.

3 Identify inviduals area of specialization and parts. This will not allow

anybody to be a round peg in a square hole therefore breeding ineffectiveness.

4 Training ! Training ! Training ! This should be the watchword for the new

choristers . Experts and experience instructors should be brought in at this juncture to drill the choir to greater heights. Being an exceptional choir will not come on a platter of gold. It will take dedication and commitment.

5 Don’t shortchange your time of rehearsal for anything. Have a regular time of rehearsal

6 Get on stage . Until you show what you have learnt , you probably have not

learnt anything.

7 Go for programmes& concerts that will motivate you to greater heights.

Be sincere with yourself, what is your true desire? Don’t suppress them.

As believers God gives us sanctified desires which are foretaste of things coming to our lives. Remember the expectation of the righteous shall not be cut off. What do you desire as an engineer, doctor,achitet, musician or even a word minister. Desire is really the starting point. Jesus will ask, “what will you want me to do for you”

Vision

What do you see? This is your idealistic image of the future.

What do see concerning your career in the next one, two or three years down the line? Remember when there is no vision the people perish.

Self Development

Education does not end in the classroom, it is progressive. If you are not learning something new, you are dead while living. If you want to go far in your field you must be abreast of facts in your industry.

Be Proactive

The world belong to the proactive not the reactive. Act. Action is the key. You don’t just talk it, you do it . It is not when deadly situation arises we begin to run helter skelter. You make your move when your inner signal senses it. Because might determine your next level.

What you feed your mind on as a way of controlling your life. What you read, watch or listen to can seriously affect your life either positively or negatively.
Read the right stuff and see the right result. I discovered that almost every high flyers are addicted readers. You hear people say something like “I used to hear so and so on TV or radio long ago, he had been a blessing”. That’s influence.
You can know what your future hold by the materials you are feeding on. The good book says that as a man thinks in heart so is he. The only way to have the right mindset is to feed on the right things. What you feed your mind can alter your imagination and else alter your life. Little wonder we were told to meditate on the book of the law day and night. Some of us are going about with the wrong mindset we develop right from childhood. And we wonder why we keep struggling.
The law of right association
Walk with the wise and become wise. The companion of fools will definitely perish.
If you want to check your progress level, check who your companions are. It is more like a metamorphosis if you walk with the wrong people you will suddenly become like them. Bad company corrupts good character. If your wards are misbehaving, you need to check the kind of friends they keep. Your finance could be affected if you walk with the wrong people. Wrong relationship in business can ruin your business. One bad egg in an organization can cost the organization loss of millions. One wrong individual can cause serious havoc. As a boss feel free to sack any employee that can ruin your enterprise. It is not worth the risk if he or she cannot change.
I don’t expect a supposed dullard walk with dullards; when will he improve?
Speaking Right
You cannot talk failure and expect success. This principle has been proved over and over again. Speak right concerning your business. Speak right concerning your relationships. Talk yourself up. As you walk through life there are situations that might want to pull you down. One thing is sure you might be tempted to start complaining and start negative talking. You have been told you are good for nothing you need to tell yourself you are good for something. You are made for a time like these. There is so much negative talk going around these days and we wondered why we are not seeing result. Don’t wait for the world to define you; define yourself.
What we hear these days are economic meltdown, bla bla bla. Yet some are still making their millions. Say the right things.

Higher influence
Our maker created us on this planet for a reason. He remains our first influence. Our contact with him makes the difference that is why we must believe He exists and he is very much there for us. With him by our side we can always smile at the storms of life. We are nothing but a success story.

The medium size room still remained as it were. Nothing has changed. Paper littered the floor, with CDs and tapes. In the last three days, I have been extremely busy. I didn’t pack them even when I noticed the disorganization.
Of course I am the only one that have access to the room; nobody to disturb the settings.
I starred at the whole stuff; having very little of energy in me. “How I wish somebody assist me in packing this mess” I said to myself. It was a wish; yes it remain one.
I quickly learnt that things don’t change of themselves except you initiate a process of change. Sometimes we look helplessly at situations and issues in our life that we could have taken action on. We wait endlessly for one supernatural hand to help us do it. Yes, everybody needs the supernatural one way or the other, I quite agree. But to leave our own part of the deal undone and accuse the Supreme Being of wrong doing is uncalled for. I am simply discussing our response to ability
In physics we were told that every object remains in a state of rest or uniform motion unless impress force act on it.
It is being said that if you see anything that is working, somebody is working it.
I learnt this from firebrand entrepreneurs.
Any hot brand you see in the market must have passed this test. It must leave the dormant stage.
Every functional cooperation is putting this very law into practice. Great inventors, scientists passed through this phase.
Our streets are filled with potential entrepreneurs, sportsmen and women, writers, musicians that haven’t struck a chord. When you ask them why they are not going in the direction of their potentials, you know the common answer.

Most time, it is the inner drive that people lack. Information is a vital tool that can spark off your drive. God himself His the true source of motivation that anybody could talk about. Necessity also can lead to your invention. It will not surprise you that pain can give birth to the succour that the world need. You are the next rated top shot, what are you waiting for?

One thing that they are still battling with is this piracy of a thing. Over the years this still remain a strong force to tackle. When i look at Prof Dora Akunyili, it reminds me of the fact this piracy business can be fought to stand still . We just need one good woman/man as the case may be that will rise up for the cause.

Observers says the new president can achieve going by the people-result oriented that surrounds him. From my end i wish him a successful tenure as the president of the United State of America and indeed the world.

It was complete fun as we had time of music and general talk.
The height of the programme was when had a dicussion on eradication of poverty. We are looking forward to another interesting time.
Clean communication was established to service the human mind. Apart from organising talkshows, the organisation also boasts of a publishing and bookstore arm.

Not too long ago, i read the story of Jesus in the bible reading about stuff written about him in a place. He told them, "this story is fullfilled in you ears today". There are things writen about us in the record book of heaven if you don't follow you are doomed to fail . You may look successful to the world but to God you are not. It is therefore imperative to seek to know mind of your manufacturer else you go your own way.

When you know , if wrong things surface in your llife that is not part of the scheme you will quickly reject it. There are good stuffs written about you. Seek to know them. Know who you are in Christ. Christ has set you free, stay free . He has set you on high, stay on top.

The Bible says that we are his workmanship created to do the good works he created for us long time ago. Look, walk in His calling. His callings are not grievous.

be very good if all of us adopt this as our logo or

Yea! I am very talented but i will rather trust in

God than in my talents. Yes , I am gifted . I will

rather trust in God than in my gifts. God, may i never

get to a level that i will say i don't need you .

My friend God is supreme. I now understand why atheists

are confused. They set to put God in their small mind.

God will always laugh at their folly.

Some say through determination and self confidence alone

they will succeed but i say you need the God factor. Friend,

it must be constant else your equation will not work.

Many atime i have set to do things my own way untill i

see the littleness of my ability. Hence i shout: " i can do

all things through Christ that strenghtens me ".

Note the words , " through Christ". His ability now

empowers me . QED

Most times we claim we trust God but in the actual fact

we don't. Our trust in God should be total.

PASSION + COMMITMENT

Year 2005 thereabout, xmas was still in the air. I picked my bible to check some stuffs about the birth of Christ. I was surprise by what i discovered. The book of Isaiah says that for unto us a child is born...

If it had ended there i would not have been writing this. The new living translation says that the passionate commitment of God will gaurantee the coming of Christ. The two key words suddenly made meaning. "Passion and commitment"

We cannot do without these key words in the pursuit of excellence in life. You remember it was talked about Jesus that he was consumed about the Lord's house. A life without passion is boring; living for anything, dying for nothing.

The scriptures also talked about some people with zeal without knowledge.
Also knowledge without zeal could be worse too.
Couple your knowledge with passsion , crown it with commitment and let soar high.

It is not pride, we will not go and beg in Egypt. It is a matter of choice. In a bid to use God given resources in our lives, we will not be like Jacob who sold his birthright for a morsel neither shall we act like Judas who sold the master for thirty pieces of silver.

Bowing for them in Egypt is forbidden , no matter what.
We will join the train of people like Daniel who were not afraid of the den of lions or the three Hebrew guys who outrightly refuse cowardice in the face of seemingly terrible fire.
We will sing the song of the saints that says: "If i perish, i perish. If the Lord be for me who can be against me."
Begging them in Egypt is forbidden.

I stared hysterically into the thin air."Pondering upon what? " You may ask me. Of course my finacial state. Now everybody is going for capital. Capital ! yes. money to start this, money to start that.

My mind flashed back to the book of Acts of the Apostles in the bible when Peter and John were at the beautiful gate.The crippled man stared at them. They gave a surprise present to the man which is of course his healing.

They claim that it was what they got. That was their capital. You really know it solved the money crisis.The man needed not to beg for alms again. Even this write up may be what i have.That is why i cherish this medium.

Everybody got something to offer. Their is no doubt about that. Let us rise up to offer what we've got and stop complaining to the world. It won't be long that the whole wide world will confess Jesus Christ as the son of God to the glory of God the father.

The power of influence

Our lives are influenced; whether good or bad. One cannot be neutral. There is the influence of God and the devil. You cannot be in between. For instance , you are either born again or not,kingdom minded or not,death or life. There is no one sitting on the fence. Our actions whether secretly or publicly are influencing somebody. We cannot be ignorant of this fact.

Readers they say are leaders. The books you read have great infuence in your life. Because somebody went to study accounting he became an accountant.Likewise any other course. ''Books,books,books", go for good books . It enhances good productivity. Also make sure you put what you read into practice.

What we see has a way of influencing us. That is why we must watch what we watch especially on television. Don't watch the wrong things. It alters good imagination and creative thinking.

Show me your friend and i will show you the kind of person you are. Don't befriend devils and expect to succeed. Evil communications corrupt good manners.King Saul walk into the company of prophets he suddenly prophesied. The disciples were called christians because they had been with Jesus.

Talk right or else you will see your life go wrong. You have what you say. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. There is power in your tongue. Say the right things.

BLOCKS OF LIFE

Not too long ago, i published a book titled , "Blocks of Life". This post actually is not actually meant to do the book review but the content guided this particular posting. Life is in stages. It is like somebody building ;one block here another one there before it makes a beautiful edifice. There is nothing like overnight adults . These days teenagers want to become adult overnight. You take one step at a time . Although i am not advocating for indolence or mediocrity but we should know time has a role in fulfillment of God purpose for our life. Now i just reflect on when i was running after the guy that was in charge of the printing of the said book. It look as if it was a far fetch dream but now to God be the glory , it is a reality. Dreams can really come true.

THE GOD OF MIRACLES

Are you faced with extremly difficult situation right now and you don't know what to do ? I have a good news for you. My God is a specialist in performing miracles. To say the fact, miracles are close to us each day than we think. What is required of us is to connect to them. My life is a personal testimony;and i've seen God's miracle occur in people's life over an over again . If you believe you will see the glory of God. Just believe. I always say that there is no problem greater than Jesus. The challenges of today are tommorrow's testimonies. Sure , life without problems or challenges is an illusion. Brace up, God has won the victory for us ;we are more than conquoror.
You can always pray in Jesus name and your victory is certain.

USE YOUR TALENTS

No one is born empty. Everyone including you is born with one gift or the other. Use those gifts. Do you know that your greatness is tied to your ability in using your gifts and talents.Don't despise them. Oh! you could come with various excuse in not utilizing those talents,but i tell you the truth, i lieth not;those excuses are not tenable. People that use their talent eventually always get an increase in those abilities. I've made up my mind to die empty. Any ability not utilized on earth eventually become a waste. The grave is filled with countless number of people who did not fulfill God's purpose for their life. Most times our gifts and talents come so natural to us that we easily forget using them.

KINGDOM

The bible says "seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all other things shall be added to you". The bible also says the kingdom of God is in you. There is a kingdom in you that you should seek. The good things of life men are running after; you can surely get it, if you seek first the kingdom. One more thing is that the kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by force. I mean by force. Look, it is not going to come easy. It is interesting to note that "thy kingdom come" comes before "give us this day our daily bread".

So God cherish seeking first the kingdom.The bible says the kingdom of God is in you. Don't neglect your inner consciouness ;your inner promptings. It is the same kingdom God sent us to preach.People that chase the kingdom will never loose at the end of the day.
What shall it profit you if you gain the whole world and forfeit your soul.Capacity is crying for expression. Look inward my dear and follow your heart.Do you want to live a fulfilled life ,live for the kingdom. Just take note that the kingdom of God will not fall on you like a ripe mango from a tree. It is left for you.

Examples abound in the scriptures of people that seek first the kingdom of God. Starting from Abraham the father of faith,John the baptist,Daniel, Isaiah, Paul, even ourLord Jesus. The lists is endless. You can join the train.

I CAN

The bible says i can do all through Christ that strenghtens me that i believe. No matter what i face in the pursuit of my God given purpose, i will lift my hands to say i can. Of course if Jesus can , i can. Greater is he that his in me than anything that in the world. I will lift up my head to say I can. The death of Jesus cannot be in vain over my life,no way. Listen to me Mr devil , i am destined to fulfill God's purpose for my life ,no matter what. I can.

Run with it; it guarantee success.Even the bible recorded that God was passionate about the idea of sending Jesus into the world. I choose to be a vessel of honour.i don't know about you. Anybody can be any vessel but not all are vessels of honour. Decide for yourself. The bible says that some are vessels of honour while some are not. What i am sure of is that being a vessel of honour is by choice. You will not be a dumped vessel. God wants to use you but he needs your total consecration

Little wonder the bible says we should guard our heart with all diligence because out of it comes the issues of life.A man once said that you can't feature in a future you can't picture. Don't give in to pressures in your pusuits of excellence. Soar high. You have only one life. Choose to live it well. Remember the word quittters never win but the persistent does. People may misunderstand you. Don't worry about that . Keep your head high and keep on succeeding .Your best is yet to come. God has great things in store for you.Don't be myopic in your vision. Think Big. The limitations we face most often are ones created by our selves , nothing more. Rejoice in your calling and be faithful to it ;there lies reward both on earth and in heaven. Don't have a chicken mentality. The God of the rich is the God of the poor. The rich have no" special" God.Be focused and soar high. He that began a good work in you will perfect it to the day of LordJesus christ. Don't hang around chickens. Hang around eagles and you will soar high.

Be a man of pupose.Though the challenge may be great. Keep doing what God has committed to your hands. You will get there nomatter what. I am an embodiments of testimony. I give God all the glory. It is not by power nor by might. It is by the spirit of God.Locate your gifts and use it judiciously. I nomally make a committmnet every time to God that i will fulfill purpose nomatter what. I am promising God again in this article that i am fully committed to carry out is assignment on earth.Though your begining might be small your later end my dear, is sweet. Don't worry about the problems you are facing . Stay put;there is light at the end of the tunnel. To be frank with you i am destined to write to you on this subject and i am not taking it lightly. Dear father i say thank you. My life is a testimony . I am greatful dear God . Join the chariots of grace by sitting down to look inwards. What are your passions? What are your gifts and talents? What are the things God is drumming to your ears daily . Follow them and shine.
